Praia dos Ingleses

In Portuguese and Spanish below

The restaurant Praia dos Ingleses is on Rua Coronel Raúl Peres, in Foz do Douro. This could be any restaurant, but its landscape makes it different from every other restaurant.

This place is situated in Praia dos Ingleses, the source of the name. There are plenty of specialties to taste, at lunch and at dinner, or even drink an afternoon cocktail with some friends.

But most of all there's the view that this awesome place grants its costumers with. Its visitors are able to enjoy a nice meal with a view above the ocean and the beach. The space inserts itself in the landscape and the luminosity is one of the restaurant's highlights.

We advise you to enjoy a quiet dinner in the esplanade watching the sunset ate the end of the day.

Will

 In Portuguese below

Will was launched last year and it can be found in Praça Carlos Alberto. This is a restaurant that mixes the portuguese cuisine with sushi, a typically japanese dish. This dish is available to every taste, even to those who like to leave the restaurant well pleased. On wednesdays there's the "Sushi Festival" (Festival do Sushi) at lunch, for 18€, and dinner for 23€.

But the portuguese food also has its spotlight: steak, octopus in the oven, codfish and Costelão are some of the portuguese treats you can eat there.

Even so, Will isn't just a restaurant, by night it works as a bar. This space has a diversified musical schedule that includes live concerts and guest dj's. Besides that, fridays and saturdays are marked by 80's and 90's music.

When it comes to the decoration, Will mixes the classic with modern details. There are several rooms that allow private dinners, perfect for business dinners, groups or private parties.

Whether it's for a meal or for a night out with friends, we advise you to stop by Will to meet this wonderful place.

Fuji: the experience

In Portuguese and Spanish below

The Fuji Restaurant is a japanese place that has already been mentioned in our blog. The team A Coffee In Oporto decided to try its take away service.

First we want to point out the sympathy and promptitude of this service. Once in the restaurant you can choose which sushi pieces you want, while having rice and prawn pasta also available. Each box costs 5€ except the rice box, which can be ordered for only 2,50€.

The food was definitely satisfying, the sushi is amazing and the ingredients have quality. It was a different meal that led us to become fans of this place.

Fuji is an economic option that is available for everyone. For only 5€/person we had a full and enjoyable dinner. The team A Coffee In Oporto believes you should most definetely visit this cozy little japanese restaurant, Fuji.

Fuji Restaurant

In Portuguese and Spanish below

Fuji was launched in 2009 on Santa Catarina’s street and it has been delighting those who visit it, whether it’s to try a typically Japanese dish for the first time or to repeat the experience.

The decoration of the restaurant grants us a voyage to Japan as soon as you pass by the door. The yellow tones rule in a very welcoming environment.

For those who prefer the comfort of their own home, Fuji has a take-away service, and for the price of 5€ you can buy a box of sushi to go. In the restaurant the menus range from 6€ to the rodízio for 13.90€, although by night the rodízio costs 12.90€.

The restaurant is open everyday from 12am to 3pm and again from 7pm to 11pm.

If you really want to try sushi, A Coffee in Oporto advises you to visit Fuji. We guarantee a good treatment and the food is going to make you want to come back.

PItch Club

In Portuguese and Spanish below

The Pitch has two faces: day and night. During the day this bar works as a coffee shop and restaurant, while in the evening it opens the doors to incredibly fun nights.
Pitch is considered one of the top bars and clubs of the Invicta. The space is divided in two floors: in the ground-floor the atmosphere is similar to any pub you find in the streets of London, and in the floor above is the bar, with a 60's decoration and a DJ booth.
In this bar you can dance to the sound of alternative and contemporary styles that contrast with the retro decoration. The space was launched and decorated in a way to optimize the acoustic, a good aspect to cover in a place like this.
This is one of the places you should visit if the intention is to have a night out with your friends, or even just to enjoy a nice light meal in the restaurant, which is open during the day.

The Lingerie Restaurant

Recently opened, The Lingerie Restaurant is placed in Gonçalo Cristóvão's street. It's a place that may seem ordinary at first sight, but actually can be full of surprises.

This restaurant intends to give eroticism and sensuality to its costumers' dinner, an innovating concept that aims to be the Moulin Rouge of our town. Seduction and eroticism  can be noticed right away by the decoration, with warm colors and erotic images decorating the walls. But there's more, the staff has an unusual outfit... lingerie.

When it comes to the kitchen, the dishes are exotic and aphrodisiacs, with menus that range from 20€ (without beverage), to 40€. This prices include the house's shows such as striptease on stage with a pole.

Besides the space intended to dinner there is the wine bar, a space that obeys to the same concept as the restaurant. The visitors also have access to a wide library of erotic books.

If you want to surprise, amaze, and leave the prejudices behind, The Lingerie Restaurant is ideal, leaving anyone astonished with an experience that one doesn't forget.
