Caçula

 In Portuguese and Spanish below

Caçula, in Praça Carlos Alberto can almost be mixed up with the history of Downtown Oporto. This restaurant was launched in 2005 and along with this change came a new concept.

Integrated in a four story building, Caçula has won a new image, marked by modernity, sophistication and bold design. The groundfloor room works everyday with menus at lunch and manu cards at dinner. The upper floors are normally used for group events.

Everyday there are three different menus: meat, fish and vegetarian. This restaurant puts inovation right next to the traditional dishes. The pizzas and the tapas are two of the reference points of Caçula that make the costumers come go back for more.

Stop by Caçula for lunch while in downtown Oporto, gourmet food at low cost pricesm with the average cost of 15€ per meal.

Low-Costa.Come

The first low cost bakery in Oporto opened up in January in broad Avenida dos Aliados. The name says it all: Low-Costa.Come, which is referred to the concept of food at low prices.

The prices couldn’t be more attractive: a cup of coffee costs 0.40€, a piece of cake is 0.50€ and a francesinha menu costs less than 4.00€. Low-Costa.Come has a wide variety of products and a pleasant space, allowing you to eat your meal right there.

In a time of crisis, this bakery couldn’t be more successful. The tables are almost always full and the payment line increases by the minute in certain moments of the day.

Besides the great location, at the top of Avenida dos Aliados, a touristic landmark of our city, Low-Costa.Come provides its clients the opportunity to eat a nice meal in a quiet and modern environment.

Within this context there are already five Low-Costa.Come bakeries in Portugal and it’s expected that this project will be extended overseas.

If you’re looking for a place for lunch or a snack without emptying your wallet, take a look at Low-Costa.Come and let yourself be delighted by its anti-crisis features.

Espaço 77

In Portuguese and Spanish below

Low Cost nights

In Travessa de Cedofeita we encounter Espaço 77, a coffee shop able to wonder anyone who enjoy a nice, low-cost snack. Open until 4am every day, 77 is a meeting-point not only for a cup of coffee among friends, but also for a light meal after a fun night out.

In 77 you can eat several snacks such as pizza slices all day long, practically. Although, the main highlight are what we call “minis”, which are smaller sized beers, for only 0.50€. This feature beats records on a national level with an average of 300.000 sales a year. In 2011, Espaço 77 sold 378 230 “minis”, which equals an average of one for every 19 seconds.

This space has a esplanade in an open air area, in the back of the coffee shop. Every Wednesday there’s an invited DJ, making it one of the most bustling and lively nights of the week. Besides that, 77 has a pool table, table football and playstation.

If you’re looking for a light meal or a place to spend some time with your friends at low prices, whether it’s day or night, this is definitely the place to go.
